Whether your goal is to become a professional musician or you simply want to explore a new instrument and learn to play your favorite songs, private music lessons at Desert Hills Community School of Music in North Scottsdale can help you fulfill your musical dreams. From older teens to retirees, our students receive one-on-one lessons from our expert instructors, who guide them in developing the skills and repertoire they need to advance as musicians.

Private Lessons

Available in segments of 30, 45, or 60 minutes each week, our instructors meet each student where they are and help them improve their skills at a pace and level tailored to the student's learning style, ability, and musical goals. Our current offerings for adult private lessons include:


  • Keyboard (piano, organ)
  • Plucked Instruments (guitar, ukulele, mandolin)
  • Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone)
  • Brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba)
  • Strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass) and
  • Voice
