Typical Teacher Responsibilities Include:

• Teach private lessons
• Teach group classes
• Develop lesson plans for both individual and group instruction 
• Evaluate student progress
• Prepare students for school recitals and studio classes
• Attend faculty meetings and school events
• Perform solo or in collaboration with others at least two times a year in faculty recitals (preferred, not required)

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of different method books (including Suzuki method for violin) and repertoire
• 5+ years experience teaching students of various ages
• Ability to identify and meet each student’s learning needs 
• Passion for music and high-quality music instruction
• Commitment to professional growth as a music teacher
• Respectful of and compassionate with colleagues, students, and parents 

Preferable: Bachelor’s degree in music or music-related field
