Heather has taught piano to kids, adults, and families in the east valley for more than 18 years. She is the owner of Fountain Hills Piano, a thriving studio in Fountain Hills that has been recognized as "Best of Fountain Hills." She holds teaching certifications in music and English from Michigan State University, and trained in piano pedagogy at Mesa Community College, where she studied with Dr. Radmila Stojanovic-Kiriluk. Heather's students are highly successful in passing the state-level Arizona Study Program exam each year.
She is an active member of the Arizona State Music Teachers Association, a proud U.S. Army veteran, and holds a (very rusty) commercial pilot’s license.
Through a balance of educational rigor and patient encouragement, Heather’s goal is to develop skilled lifelong musicians who enjoy playing the piano for themselves and others.
When she's not teaching piano, Heather can be found performing with the Fountain Hills Saxophone Quartet, which she co-founded in 2013. The group, for which Heather serves as alto player and emcee, performs roughly 100 shows a year all over the Valley.
