Desert Hills Community School of Music

Desert Hills Community School of Music serves the North Scottsdale, Carefree, and Cave Creek areas with world-class music instruction for all ages and ability levels. Located at the foot of the boulders on the scenic campus of Desert Hills Presbyterian Church, our offerings include:

• Group and private music lessons for keyboard  (piano, organ), strings (harp, violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, ukulele, mandolin), woodwinds  (flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone), brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba), and voice

• An audition-based Advanced Music Program (AMP) for children ages 7-18 who show extraordinary dedication to musical excellence

• A Music Exploration program for children ages 6-10 who show early interest in music

• Ensembles for all ages, including Community Band, Saxophone Ensemble, Flute Choir, and five different Youth Ensembles

• Recording Studio Lab, a hands-on class that teaches the art and science of music recording and production

• Summer Band Camp for wind and percussion players ages 10-15 (June 1-5, 2026)

• Instrument rentals for $20/month to actively enrolled DHCSM students who need an instrument
